Important QuickBooks Software Subscription Information for 2024

Changes Happening Related to Quickbooks Desktop Software & Payroll Subscriptions:
There are changes happening soon to QuickBooks Desktop software & payroll subscriptions. Intuit will notify QuickBooks Desktop customers of these changes in February 2024, however, we wanted to relay this information to give you time to upgrade or purchase the Desktop subscription-based software or a payroll subscription if you want to remain on the Desktop platform.
For anyone currently using QuickBooks Desktop version 2021 or older which are considered non-subscription versions, you will need to purchase QuickBooks 2024 on or before July 31, 2024. After July 31, 2024, Intuit will no longer sell new subscriptions of QuickBooks Pro Plus, Prier Plus, Mac Plus or Enhanced Payroll. This means that if you are not currently using QuickBooks 2022 or newer subscription-based software, you must upgrade your QuickBooks software before this deadline. If you do not update before July 31, 2024, you will no longer be able to purchase QuickBooks Desktop software and would have to choose an alternative software such as QuickBooks Online. If you are currently using QuickBooks 2022 or newer, you will be able to continue to renew your subscription to QuickBooks Desktop.
If you are currently not using QuickBooks Desktop software but are anticipating using the software in the future, you would need purchase QuickBooks 2024 Desktop on or before July 31, 2024, otherwise you would have to choose an alternative accounting software such as QuickBooks Online.
Starting December 1, 2023, QuickBooks made changes to their supported payroll subscriptions. If you are impacted by this change, you should have been or will be notified of this update within your QuickBooks software and also via an email from Intuit.
QuickBooks will no longer be selling new subscriptions to Desktop Enhanced payroll after July 31, 2024. This means that if your company currently does not have a QuickBooks Enhanced Desktop payroll subscription but you are going to be needing one in the near future, you would have to purchase a subscription on or before July 31, 2024 or you would not be able to run payroll using QuickBooks Desktop software.
