The IRS is Celebrating 50 Years of the Earned Income Tax Credit

The IRS, in partnership with national organizations, is marking the 50th anniversary of the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) by initiating an EITC Awareness Day campaign. Aimed at raising awareness among eligible low-to-moderate income working Americans, the campaign is in its 19th year. The IRS provides resources like an online toolkit to help spread awareness and an EITC Assistant tool to help workers determine eligibility.
